We had a propane hot water heater tank installed last year by Plumbing Solutions. The job was well done and the technician Reuben responded quickly and professionally when we noticed a propane odor. He persevered until he found the cause and fixed it.
Following the recent snow storm on the east coast, we found our heater out of service when we returned home from a short trip away. It was off and surrounded by carbon soot. We phoned Plumbing Solutions as we did not know if it would be safe to try to light up the system. Sergio at Plumbing Solutions came and assessed the problem. He recommended to have our chimney cleaned out and serviced before getting the system up and running again. After sorting that out with St John’s Chimney sweeps, the heater was restarted but unfortunately it continued to produce thick smoke with very dirty combustion and ceased to work altogether. Sergio came back and attempted to clean the burners and get it going again. However the heater became irreparably damaged.
This chain of events sounds really bad, and apparently so rare it had never happened before. Don, the owner, reached out and managed to replace our heater with a new one under warranty. The entire crew was professional from the start to the end. They came out gave us a quote answered questions we had, and then scheduled the install within a week. Arrived on time, and completed the job in time frame given.
